Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will involve working with medical records, coding systems, and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Duties: - Review medical records and documentation to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulations, and insurance requirements (ICD-10, ICD-9) - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries or disputes - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Assist with medical collections as needed - Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and industry regulations
